Junior Achievement of South Dakota Volunteer Receives National Recognition
Junior Achievement of South Dakota (JA) is thrilled to announce that Bob Thimjon, JA volunteer and member of the JA State Board of Directors, has been recognized as one of eleven recipients of the prestigious JA Gold Leadership Award, selected from over 150,000 volunteers across the United States.
This Gold Leadership Award recognizes Bob’s outstanding commitment to advancing Junior Achievement’s mission through his exceptional leadership, dedication, and tireless efforts to expand our impact on our youth.

For more than 20 years, Bob has been a dedicated supporter of Junior Achievement, serving in multiple roles including classroom volunteer, State Board member and board chair, committee chair, and investor. Bob has been a cornerstone of Junior Achievement in South Dakota, and he consistently gives his time to help inspire and empower the next generation of leaders. Bob’s dedication to empowering students and his unwavering passion for providing young people with information about educational opportunities after graduation have impacted countless youth across the state. Bob is a firm believer in the transformative potential of Junior Achievement’s work in South Dakota.
