JA Inspire is more than a career fair, it brings together the business community and local schools and is designed to help launch middle school students into their futures: high school, college, and careers beyond. (Grades 6-8)

Event Completed!

When: Tuesday, February 15, 2022
Where: Sioux Falls Convention Center

JA Inspire is a collaboration between educators and industry leaders led by Junior Achievement of South Dakota. JA Inspire is a career-based event filled with learning experiences that are designed by individual industry teams to align with what the industry will need from its future employees. Unlike traditional career fairs, the students do the interviewing rather than the employer. They ask questions of volunteers from local businesses and learn about skills that will be in demand when they graduate. They participate in hands-on activities, often using actual equipment or tools from various industries. The event is designed to transform students' abstract ideas about work into tangible ambitions and plans, and to build their soft skills.
